ATTENDANCE INFORMATION
24 Hour Attendance line : 480-484-7299

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM THE SAGUARO ATTENDANCE OFFICE
Please call (480) 484-7299 to report your student absent, late or to excuse a student for an early release appointment. Neither the attendance office nor the teachers will accept written notes as an excuse for an absence, late arrival or early dismissal.
ONLY PARENTS/GUARDIANS ARE ALLOWED TO EXCUSE STUDENTS.

MOST IMPORTANT… DO NOT ESCORT YOUR STUDENT FROM CAMPUS WITHOUT calling the attendance line FIRST in order to have your student released from class. Call in advance so that a pass can be issued in time for the class your student is leaving. Having the student pick up the pass ahead of time avoids interrupting the entire class. The student then shows the teacher the pass and can leave at the appropriate time, and signs out in the office before leaving campus. If returning, your student signs back in at the office and will be given a pass to class.

IT IS A SCHOOL POLICY THAT WE DO NOT INTERRUPT CLASSES EXCEPT FOR A FAMILY EMERGENCY.
The attendance line is a 24-hour line. However, a parent must report the student’s absence on the day of the absence, by the end of that school day. After 24-hours it will be considered an unexcused absence. We accept only one “Late Call” per semester. Four unexcused absences in a class may result in a student being dropped from the class.
A parent is not allowed to excuse a student who remains on campus.
If you student is ill during school, your student must always go to the nurse. The nurse will call you & sign your student out of class.
We will not interupt classes to deliever gifts, flowers, and food.
Saguaro high school is a Closed Campus school. Students may not leave the campus grounds during their scheduled class time. If a student has a shorten schedule, they must leave campus when their classes are over unless they have academic or club activites.
